Setting the ScenePart orientation, part creative challenge, this engaging workshop helps students tune into their surroundings from the moment they arrive.Through a series of imaginative visual-mapping activities, participants capture first impressions, emerging ideas and unexpected observations while creating a personalised guide to the experiences ahead.

The result is an enjoyable and thought-provoking introduction that encourages curiosity, strengthens group connections and lays the foundations for a richer, more mindful workshop or group trip.

ANNOTATE IT!Whether you choose to walkabout the town or visit a specific site of interest, this workshop encourages participants to create a series of visual notes on the go. This drawing and note taking  activity called “Grid-ing” enables individuals to capture everything and anything, abstract or fact In such a way that each “Grid-er” can at a later date piece together the components into a design or a series of themed works. This process of gathering itemised drawn images enables the student to plan beyond a single piece of work and to also consider how to grow not just one idea, but a whole selection of alternatives. This workshop will empower students to adapt and grow a concept, design or piece of art. Learning to keep their options open, students also find that this workshop provides a valuable opportunity to glean and learn more collectively as a group.ORAnnotate It! Geography 2-3 hour workshop for all ages £15 each (perfect for groups sizes 12 - 40+ )Ideal for geographical and historical fact finding field trips. Participants are encouraged to create a series of annotated notes directly in the location of special interest.  This drawing and note taking activity called “Grid-ing” enables individuals to capture everything and anything, abstract or fact In such a way that each “Grid-er” goes home with something informative and personally memorable. Ideal for GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate students, who need to learn on the go and then later recall and present. This unique process of gathering information in real time enables the student to capture more of the overall experience as well as the details. This big picture mapping approach can actively enhance experience, whilst gaining skills for continued use throughout the rest of the students studies.
